Lindsay Shepherd-Singh, Programme Manager (India)
Lindsay has worked with the Babu Joginder Singh Benevolent Trust (now LifeBuilder India) for over 2 years. Based in Punjab and overseeing activities in the rural areas there, she works closely with staff in London and the Trustees. Lindsay previously worked with BJSBT in 2003-4; She then worked in Delhi helping to establish the RSA in India, before returning to Punjab, where she lives with her husband, Navneet (a Punjabi), in Amritsar. Lindsay finds that being Mrs Singh is an advantage when it comes to working in Punjab's villages and understanding the issues faced there, especially by women.
Taruna Jindal Kundra, Fundraising and Communications Assistant (UK)
Taruna has recenlty joined the Lifebuilder UK to support fundraising activities part-time. She lived in Ludhiana (Punjab) until she moved to the UK in 2008. She has a background of working with the media and within a political office as part of an election campaign team out in India. Her strengths in the field of communications will help promote LifeBuilder within the British and Indian media as well as supporting Lifebuilders marketing and fundraising activities.
Sharanjeet Panda, Programme Officer (India)
Sharanjeet has an extensive career spanning 20 years. Since gaining a masters in social work she has gone on to work for various Non Governmental Organisations co-ordinating and managing education, social work and health projects across India. Sharanjeet extensive knowledge is used to organise and run LifeBuilder’s programmes in Punjab, India. She works on recruiting participants for our different projects, researching possible new projects and ensures the smooth running of LifeBuilder’s programmes.
