Sunil's Story
How vocational training changed his life
Sunil grew up in rural Punjab. Despite his family's poverty, they had managed to give Sunil a basic education. However, this was not enough for Sunil to have sufficient skills to gain viable employment. Sunil's future looked bleak with little way of lifting himself, and his family, out of their hand to mouth existence.
That was until he joined LifeBuilder’s vocational course, Certificate in Hotel & Kitchen Management (CHKM).
On the CHKM course, Sunil was taught the skills he needed to be able to have a career working in a kitchen for a hotel or restaurant. Sunil has now left his poverty behind and is a restaurant manager for an international fast food chain. He is now able to support his family, giving them and himself, a route out of poverty. LifeBuilder has helped 150 young people just like Sunil – teaching relevant vocational skills that open doors with employers and enable these individuals to get better jobs and have a better life.

We have 100s of young people just like Sunil who want to take part in our CHKM course so that they have a shot at getting viable employment. But we can't help them without your help. If you would like to help people like Sunil then make a donation today by
