International Citizen Service

LifeBuilder is really interested in what David Cameron had to say yesterday about the International Citizen Service – 3 months of volunteering for young people can not only enrich the lives of the young people who volunteer but also of the communities which they are helping.

We regularly recruit native English speaker volunteers to work on our vocational training projects in India. They work with us to give some of the most marginalised and poorest individuals in India an opportunity to learn English which drastically increase their chances of gaining viable employment and pulling them and their family out of poverty. If the International Citizen Service increases the amount of volunteers working on projects like these than LifeBuilder welcomes it.
